Condolences to family and friends of PINKY KRAVITZ, the longtime LONGPORT MEDIA News-Talk WOND-A/ATLANTIC CITY personality, who died SATURDAY (10/31) at 88.
KRAVITZ (given name SEYMOUR) hosted "PINKY'S CORNER" on local radio in ATLANTIC CITY, mostly on WOND-A, for 57 years before ending the show earlier this year. He had not missed a show until falling ill, requiring heart surgery, in MAY, and officially retired in AUGUST. His "day job" for many years was as a school teacher; he also wrote a column for the PRESS OF ATLANTIC CITY and hosted a TV show and provided commentary on then-NBC affiliate WMGM-TV/ATLANTIC CITY for several years.
A memorial service is scheduled for BETH EL SYNAGOGUE in MARGATE at 11:30a (ET) WEDNESDAY.
