WCYQ/Knoxville Shuffles On-Air Lineup

WCYQ/Knoxville, TN

ALL ACCESS has learned that SCRIPPS Country WCYQ (Q100.3)/KNOXVILLE, TN has shuffled its on-air lineup, effective TODAY (11/6). 'CYQ MD OPIE JOE returns to mornings alongside co-host KRISHA. It is a return to mornings for OPIE, who was originally hired in to the daypart in 2011 (NET NEWS 12/7/2011). OPIE officially replaces GLENN JOHNSON, who left 'CYQ in JUNE to join CUMULUS' syndicated "AMERICA'S MORNING SHOW" as Executive Producer (NET NEWS 6/10). "The search was long, but we had the best choice right here," WCYQ PD KEVIN KING told ALL ACCESS.

The shift sees PAUL ORR move from mornings, where he was handling interim fill-in duties during the search for a morning host, to middays. KING shifts from middays to afternoon drive. Nights will continue to be handled by CARINA.
