Candy O'Terry Wins Broadcaster Of The Year Honors At Massachusetts Broadcasters Association Confab

CANDY O'TERRY was named Broadcaster Of The Year by the MASSACHUSETTS BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION, during the annual SOUND BITES 2015 confab at the SHERATON FRAMINGHAM HOTEL AND CONFERENCE CENTER last night, a day of "meeting, mingling and seminars" with the RAB and TVB.
GREATER MEDIA Chairman/CEO PETER SMYTH gave the keynote address before O'TERRY was presented with the award, which recognizes her "unwavering dedication to the evolution of broadcasting, along with her commitment to the community."
Working her way up from secretary to morning show co-host at GREATER MEDIA AC WMJX (MAGIC 106.7)/BOSTON listeners over the years, CANDY decided this year to pursue her other passions of singing, writing, television and charity work, co-founding BOSTON WOMEN IN MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT. She is also the lead judge for the EMMY-winning TV talent show, "Community Auditions" and created "Exceptional Women," the most successful public affairs program on commercial radio in the nation, winner of 43 local and national awards for excellence in women's programming.
The award also cites her charity work with MAKING STRIDES AGAINST BREAST CANCER, THE PINK ROSE FOUNDATION, FRIENDS OF MEL, DREAM BIG and STRONG WOMEN, STRONG GIRLS.
