ALL ACCESS mourns with the world after the terror attack in PARIS on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 13th.
We've learned several members of the music community were among the victims of the terrorist attack in PARIS that left at least 129 dead and 352 injured. As ALL ACCESS reported FRIDAY (NET NEWS 11/13), 118 of those fatalities came from an attack at an EAGLES OF DEATH METAL concert at the BATACLAN ARTS CENTER. Although the band itself was able to escape, crew member NICK ALEXANDER, 36, was not so fortunate.
In a statement, ALEXANDER's family said, "NICK was not just our brother, son and uncle, he was everyone's best friend -- generous, funny and fiercely loyal ... NICK died doing the job he loved and we take great comfort in knowing how much he was cherished by his friends around the world."
MERCURY RECORDS Product Mgr. THOMAS AYAD was also among the victims. He was a 34-year-old resident of AMIENS, FRANCE.
UNIVERSAL MUSIC FRANCE Pres. PASCAL NÈGRE tweeted that two other UNIVERSAL employees named MARIE and MANU were also among the victims, but their surnames have not yet been released.
FRENCH music journalist GUILLAUME B. DECHERF, a rock and metal specialist who reviewed the EAGLES OF DEATH METAL's latest album, "Zipper Down," for LES INROCKUPTIBLES, was also killed at the BATACLAN. The 43-year-old writer is survived by two daughters.

U2's BONO called in to RTE 2FM/IRELAND DJ DAVE FANNING and said, “If you think about it, the majority of victims last night are music fans. This is the first direct hit on music that we’ve had in this so-called War on Terror. And it’s very upsetting. These are our people," adding, “this could be me at a show, you at a show. It’s a very recognizable situation. All our thoughts are with the EAGLES OF DEATH METAL fans.”
The FOO FIGHTERS issued a statement, "It is with profound sadness and heartfelt concern for everyone in PARIS that we have been forced to announce the cancellation of the rest of our tour. In light of this senseless violence, the closing of borders, and international mourning, we can’t continue right now. There is no other way to say it. This is crazy and it sucks. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was hurt or who lost a loved one."
MADONNA took to the stage in STOCKHOLM, and told the crowd, "This whole show is about celebrating life. And standing up for your rights. Fighting for what you believe in. It's been very hard for me to get through this show and not forget about what happened last night. So I need to take this moment to acknowledge the tragedy. The tragic killings, assassinations and the senseless ending of precious life that occurred last night in PARIS. In many ways, I feel torn. Like why am I up here dancing and having fun when people are crying over the loss of their loved ones?"
