Jersey City FM Translator Up For Auction; Galaxy Buys WZUN (Sunny 102)/Syracuse

The JERSEY CITY-based translator on 97.5 FM, W248CG, has been listed for auction by AUCTION MANAGEMENT CORPORATION and PALMETTO AUCTION & REALTY.  The translator, owned by TED SCHOBER's CITY COMMONS, LLC NJ SERIES A, uses 110 watts from atop the 101 Hudson building near EXCHANGE PLACE directly across the HUDSON RIVER from MANHATTAN.  The station presently relays noncommercial WFUV/NEW YORK.

In filings with the FCC, MAVEN MEDIA's WZUN COMMUNICATIONS LLC is selling Classic Hits WZUN (SUNNY 102)/PHOENIX-SYRACUSE, NY to GALAXY SYRACUSE LICENSEE LLC for $1 million.

FAMILY STATIONS, INC. is selling Religion KPOR/EMPORIA, KS and seven FM translators -- W212AP/NOTASULGA, AL, W277AH/DOVER, DE, W284CR/WEST PALM BEACH, FL, K205CA/OTTUMWA, IA, K203CI/CAVE JUNCTION, OR, K219CK/COOS BAY, OR, and W206AH/EAU CLAIRE, WI -- to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $315,000.

DELMARVA BROADCASTING COMPANY is selling News-Talk WICO-A and Country WKTT (KAT COUNTRY 97.5)/SALISBURY, MD to ROTHSCHILD BROADCASTING LLC for $300,000 ($155,000 in cash, the rest in a promissory note).

DAVIDSON MEDIA STATION WLEE LICENSEE, LLC is selling Gospel WLEE-A (REJOICE 990)/RICHMOND, VA to JIM JACOBS' RADIO RICHMOND LLC for $10,000 plus an LMA before closing.

LIGHTHOUSE BROADCASTING, INC. is selling Classic Country WBHN-A/BRYSON CITY, NC to FIVE FORTY BROADCASTING COMPANY, LLC for $10.

WEST CENTRAL MICHIGAN MEDIA MINISTRIES has filed for a Silent STA for W220DP/IRONWOOD, MI due to the rent at its antenna site making continued operation there "untenable."

Also, the license of HODGES WOMEN IN BROADCASTING CLUB for low-power WZKQ-LP/HODGES, SC was cancelled after a 30-day warning letter from the Commission came back as undeliverable.
