Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai Headline Axes & Anchors Music Cruise's Guitar Gods Festival In Miami

AXES & ANCHORS MUSIC CRUISE will be a sponsor of the GUITAR GODS FESTIVAL, which is to take place at the NORTH BEACH BANDSHELL in MIAMI, FL, FEBRUARY 19th, 2016. Scheduled performers include YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, STEVE VAI and IRON MAIDEN's NICKO McBRAIN, with more performers to be announced.

The centerpiece of the FESTIVAL is the online competition, where budding artists compete to determine the next GUITAR GOD. Artists will submit their best work to the GUITAR GODS website for a $25 submission fee, with a portion of that fee going to benefit the APRIL MALMSTEEN FOUNDATION, which works to protect endangered species and their habitats around the globe. The submissions will be voted on by fans and an all-star panel of judges, with eight performers being selected to perform at the event on FEBRUARY 19th, and one lucky performer winning an all-expenses paid cabin and a performance slot on the AXES & ANCHORS MUSIC CRUISE.

AXES & ANCHORS features the most diverse list of performances and clinics the high seas has ever experienced. Concerts and instructional sessions will be presented by the likes of BREAKING BENJAMIN, ZAKK WYLDE, YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, MICHAEL SCHENKER, FLYLEAF, THOUSAND FOOT KRUTCH, TRACII GUNS, TONY MacALPINE, RUDY SARZO, GILBY CLARKE, GABRIEL AYALA and HEADSTRUM, among others. The five-day/four-night journey leaves MIAMI on FEBRUARY 20th aboard the luxurious CARNIVAL VICTORY, with stops in KEY WEST and NASSAU, BAHAMAS before returning to MIAMI on FEBRUARY 24th.
