Jim Perry Dies; Popular Game Show Host Also Worked At WABC-A/New York

JIM PERRY, who hosted several popular television game shows and moonlighted as a weekender at WABC-A/NEW YORK, died FRIDAY in OREGON at 82 after a battle with cancer.
PERRY (born JAMES EDWARD DOOLEY in CAMDEN, NJ), best known as host of NBC's "CARD SHARKS" (1978-81) and "SALE OF THE CENTURY" (1982-89) and CTV's "HEADLINE HUNTERS" and "DEFINITION" (1974-89), worked the weekend overnight shift at then-Top 40 giant WABC in 1969-72. He was also the host of the MISS CANADA PAGEANT from 1967 through 1990.
