For a third consecutive week, a guy named CHRIS sits atop the Country album sales chart, but this time it’s RCA NASHVILLE’s CHRIS YOUNG with “I’m Comin’ Over,” which posted more than 57,000 in pure album sales in its debut week, according to NIELSEN MUSIC.
YOUNG’s first-week success bested MERCURY's CHRIS STAPLETON, whose album, “Traveller” has sold nearly 300,000 copies following his three wins at the WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th CMA AWARDS (NET NEWS 11/5).
YOUNG’s #1 album sales debut week coincides with the title track and lead single, “I’m Comin’ Over,” which currently sits at #2 on the MEDIABASE Country singles chart, and is poised to give YOUNG his sixth career chart-topping single this week.
