WESTERN WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY took student-run noncommercial Variety KUGS/BELLINGHAM, WA off the air for the weekend, citing "recent threats on social media."
On its website, the station posted, "KUGS will be going off-air TUESDAY NOVEMBER 24th at 6p until MONDAY morning at 7a. The safety of our student volunteers is our number-one concern and in light of recent threats made on social media, this precaution has been deemed necessary.
