FOSTER THE PEOPLE have partnered with KIND CAMPAIGN to raise awareness about bullying worldwide and, more specifically, about the bullying of teenage girls in JAPAN, which is also leading to an increase in youth suicides in that country.
NANAE MUNEMASA has been bullied since elementary school and, like many other young girls in JAPAN, started skipping classes and even contemplated taking her own life. However, she has returned to school, started a blog to tell her story and help other girls going through the same thing, and started singing in a pop band with her brother called NANAKATO.
The goal of this campaign is to help put an end to bullying in JAPAN and worldwide. The funds raised will be used to fly NANAE to LOS ANGELES to record a single produced by FOSTER THE PEOPLE's MARK FOSTER, as well as sending KIND CAMPAIGN to JAPAN to raise awareness and put and help put an end to bullying.
