WHO/Des Moines' Jan Mickelson Recovering From Stroke

Get well wishes go out to iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk WHO-A/DES MOINES 9-11:30a (CT) host JAN MICKELSON, who suffered a stroke on NOVEMBER 21st.

MICKELSON himself posted about the health scare on his FACEBOOK page, saying that he had been trying out a new pressure cooker "when I started slurring my words and got a bit dizzy."  Paramedics took the host to the hospital, where a stroke was confirmed; after a Life Flight to the UNIVERSITY OF IOWA HOSPITALS for a surgical procedure to remove a clot from his artery,

MICKELSON wrote, "I'm recovering and doing well. (Wife) SUZY and (son) SCOTT are with me. Please pray for me."
