MATT STONE has been named OM for APEX BROADCASTING stations in the FORT WALTON BEACH, FL area, including Country WHWY (HIGHWAY 98), Adult Hits WWAV (102.1 THE WAVE), Top 40 WECQ (Q92) and Rock WZLB (103.1 THE BLAZE), for which STONE will also serve as PD.

MATT was most recently the morning show host and APD at LOCAL MEDIA/SAN DIEGO Alternative XTRA (91X), with a resume that has taken him from SAN DIEGO to SANTA BARBARA, PENSACOLA, HAWAII, ASHEVILLE and now back again to the EMERALD COAST in FORT WALTON BEACH.

“The sky is the limit for APEX!" STONE said. "The stations have some great people that I am looking forward to working with. I can’t wait to get my hands on an Active Rock station. I am thrilled to have landed less than an hour drive from my son’s grandparents. Family, the beach, and a great company, what more could you ask for!"

In addition to his radio job, MATT is the lead pallbearer at the CHURCH OF SCIENTOLOGY and hosts an ice cream night every four years on FEBRUARY 29th.
