HUBBARD Sports KSTP-A (1500 ESPN)/ST. PAUL-MINNEAPOLIS is conducting its 5th annual Sports Fantasy Auction TODAY (12/9) to benefit the COURAGE KENNY REHABILITATION INSTITUTE (formerly COURAGE CENTER), the facility that helped former PD STEVE KONRAD after his critical brain injury following a motorcycle accident in 2010. The auction raised $31,895 last year and has raised $158,520 over the first four years.
Among the items being auctioned today are several private suite and club packages to watch VIKINGS, TWINS, TIMBERWOLVES, SAINTS, and UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA games in style, in some cases accompanied by hosts PHIL MACKEY and JUDD ZULGAD (or, in the case of the SAINTS, with afternoon host PATRICK REUSSE and team owner MIKE VEECK); a trip to see the WILD play the NEW YORK ISLANDERS in BROOKLYN; a fishing trip to FLORIDA with TWINS star closer GLEN PERKINS; and two prizes involving JOE SOUCHERAY's "GARAGE LOGIC," one a VIP experience at the show's annual MINNESOTA STATE FAIR broadcasts and the other having SOUCHERAY, MATT "ROOKIE" MICHALSKI, CHRIS REUVERS, and JOHN HEIDT bring the show to one listener's garage (or business) for a live broadcast including catering.
