Warner Nashville's John Esposito Named To Head CMA Board

WARNER MUSIC NASHVILLE Chairman/CEO JOHN ESPOSITO has been named the new Chairman Of The Board for THE COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION, replacing outgoing Chairman FRANK BUMSTEAD. ESPOSITO was previously Board President, and will assume his new post on JANUARY 1st.
RYMAN AUDITORIUM GM and current CMA President-Elect SALLY WILLIAMS, is the new CMA President. THE FITZGERALD HARTLEY COMPANY VP BILL SIMMONS as been named President-Elect. SCHMIDT RELATIONS President JESSIE SCHMIDT returns as Secretary/ Treasurer of the CMA Board.
Said BUMSTEAD, "It’s been an honor to be Chairman of the CMA Board. Serving an industry I love, with people I respect, has been a career highlight. I may be stepping down as Chairman, but I’m not stepping away from the critical work of this Board and the important goals of this organization and I am very confident in JOHN ESPOSITO and SALLY WILLIAMS to continue this important mission.”
Added ESPOSITO, “Chairing the CMA Board at this important point in our history is a privilege. 2016 is a pivotal time as we celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the CMA AWARDS, expand the footprint of Country Music internationally, and develop ways to keep the CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL fresh for our fans. I’m thankful to my tenacious and passionate colleague FRANK BUMSTEAD for his valuable tutoring and look forward to working alongside President SALLY WILLIAMS as we tackle new, exciting opportunities that will hopefully benefit the entire industry.”
