Music technology start-up STEREOCAST has named ZACH BAIR company President. BAIR brings 12 years of experience as CEO of DISCLIVE, which releases high-quality content to fans immediately following live concert events. BAIR first commercialized this concept in 2004 with the PIXIES' comeback tour; he has also produced recordings for artists such as PETER FRAMPTON, SLASH, BAD COMPANY and REO SPEEDWAGON, among others.
STEREOCAST is a new mobile app that allows concertgoers to buy live songs straight from artists' soundboards. It is backed by some of the strongest leaders in the industry, including CHARLES KOPPELMAN as Chairman.
Commented the legendary music executive on the appointment: "We are thrilled to have ZACH join the STEREOCAST team to bring with him not only his years of pioneering leadership in this market, but also the relationships he has made throughout his journey."
BAIR has already signed artists from his previous DISCLIVE ventures.
Commented the new President: "I'm excited to be a part of this amazing team. Delivering-high quality content instantly to mobile devices has long been on my radar, and the opportunity to work with a true industry legend like CHARLES is quite humbling. This is a company with other people who truly believe in the space, and believe that the 'live' environment of music is the next revolution of the industry."
