After 33 years, longtime iHEARTMEDIA AC KSSK-A-F/HONOLULU morning co-host "COACH " LARRY PRICE is leaving "PERRY AND PRICE" and will launch a SATURDAY morning sports talk show with sister News-Talk KHVH-A host RICK HAMADA on sister Sports KIKI-A (FOX SPORTS 990). MICHAEL PERRY will continue hosting mornings solo on KSSK.
“I decided the time is right and appropriate to make this change,” said PRICE. “I am grateful for the support of our loyal listeners and for all the great years on KSSK. And, I am excited about the opportunity to talk sports with RICK on our new FOX SPORTS 990 station.”
"After 33 years of the early morning routine, LARRY certainly deserves the opportunity to sleep a little more, and work a little less,” said PERRY. “I look forward to talking story with him in our office every day, as always, and hearing him and ‘that other guy’ on our 'Best of SATURDAY Morning' shows!"
“LARRY is an amazing ambassador for us in HAWAII and we’ve been so fortunate to have him and MICHAEL paired together for a third of a century!” said President/GM CHUCK COTTON. “Being a market’s #1 radio show for 33 years is unheard of in American radio. COACH and MICHAEL have set the bar very high. While we will miss hearing LARRY every morning on KSSK, our listeners can look forward to continuing to spend mornings with MICHAEL and the KSSK Posse.”
