Infinity Closes Corporate Research Dept.

According to MediaWeek.com, INFINITY BROADCASTING has shuttered its corporate research department. It had been in operation less than a year. Leaving are Exec. VP/Research TONY JARVIS, Research Dir./Programming & Marketing CINDY ROSENBLUM, and Research Analyst PIXIE SETH.

While the story indicates that research is still a priority for INFINITY, a spokesperson indicated that the company's research efforts were "moving in a different direction."
