NFL first-round number 3 draft pick JOEY BOSA's contract holdout and the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS' unusually public response have been in the news, but only iHEARTMEDIA News-Talk KOGO-A/SAN DIEGO morning co-host LADONA HARVEY has attempted to explain the situation using food and drink.
At the station's website, HARVEY compared the offer to burritos and the $17 million signing bonus (the core of the parties' disagreement) to the Grande Fiesta Platter at EL TORITO with a margarita thrown in, and suggested that the CHARGERS want to hold the margarita back until JANUARY and BOSA's reaction to wanting the margarita now. She imagines BOSA and his agent decamping to 7-ELEVEN for two hot dogs for a dollar, but says she "would have waited for that marg...and bought a bottle of Fortaleza on my way out the door with the 85 percent of that Grande Fiesta Platter."
