8 Finalists Named For SiriusXM Canada's Top Comic

Competition

SIRIUSXM CANADA's annual Top Comic competition has named its eight finalists.  The eight, from an initial field of 72 comics, will compete in a final evening at the QUEEN ELIZABETH THEATRE in TORONTO on SEPTEMBER 29th as part of JUST FOR LAUGHS' JFL42 festival. 

The finals will be aired live in CANADA and the U.S. on SIRIUSXM's CANADA LAUGHS channel; the winner will take home C$25,000 and will score headliner gigs at JFL42 in TORONTO, JFL NORTHWEST in VANCOUVER, and the flagship JFL in MONTREAL as well as a slot in a COMEDY NETWORK JFL special.  Two runners-up will be featured in TV spots at 2017's JFL in MONTREAL and a "double-threat" show at JFL42 in TORONTO.

The finalists are KEVIN BANNER, SOPHIE BUDDLE, GRAHAM CLARK, MIKE DELAMONT, CHE DURENA, MAYCE GALONI, JULIA HLADKOWICZ, and CHRIS ROBINSON.  TOM GREEN will perform at the show as well, and BEN MINER will host.
