ACM Honors
The "10TH ANNUAL ACM HONORS" were held at RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE last NIGHT (8/30) to recognize each of the previously announced (NET NEWS 3/29) winners of non-televised awards in INDUSTRY and STUDIO RECORDING categories, as well as SPECIAL AWARDS honorees from the "51st ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS." The evening honored SPECIAL AWARD recipients including GLEN CAMPBELL, CRYSTAL GAYLE, and many others.
JASON ALDEAN received the ACM TRIPLE CROWN AWARD, given to an artist who has won New Male/Female Vocalist of the Year, Male/Female Vocalist of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year. In addition, MIRANDA LAMBERT received the inaugural ACM MERLE HAGGARD SPIRIT AWARD.
The show concluded with an all-star tribute to GLEN CAMPBELL, performed by BLAKE SHELTON, TOBY KEITH, KEITH URBAN, and DIERKS BENTLEY. The full evening of performances, award presentations, and more, will air on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th at 9p (ET/PT) on CBS-TV.
