KOOP/Austin Exec. Director Kim McCarson Exits To Work For City

TEXAS EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY BROADCASTING noncommercial Variety KOOP/AUSTIN Executive Director KIM MCCARSON is exiting the station after 10 years to join the City of AUSTIN's Economic Development Department’s Music and Entertainment Division as Economic and Business Development Liaison.  KOOP Development Coordinator CYNTHIA MCFARLIN will serve as interim Executive Director while a search for a permanent successor is underway.

MCCARSON, who helped rebuild the community station after a 2008 fire, said, "It’s hard to say goodbye, but I’m very proud of what we’ve accomplished at KOOP in the last ten years.”
