CUCB INC Contemporary Christian WGTS (91.9)/WASHINGTON, D.C. announces the hiring of veteran meteorologist DOUG HILL. DOUG will join the morning show with JERRY and BLANCA.
HILL has been a staple of the WASHINGTON, D.C. television market. He spent 16 years doing weather with WUSA-9, and is currently the chief meteorologist for WJLA-7, the ABC affiliate where he has also served for 16 years.
WGTS GM KEVIN KRUEGER said, "It’s an honor to have someone of DOUG’s caliber joining our team. While he’s always been a popular name in the market, we’re excited that DOUG is very quick to share his faith, and that we can provide the platform where he can share it freely."
In addition giving weather on the station each morning, HILL will also be part of the personality of the morning show and will be at many of the station’s community events. He’ll also expand WGTS 91.9’s community service focus by providing special coverage of severe weather in the
area.HILL commented, "I’ve been a fan and supporter of the station from the beginning, but to work here is an answered prayer. As I get older, I want to spend the time I have in radio ministry. It’s the perfect confluence of my interest and GOD’s will and I couldn’t think of a better radio family that I’d like to be a part of."
