iHEARTMEDIA Rhythmic AC KHJZ (93.9 JAMZ)/HONOLULU has flipped to Top 40/RHythmic as 93.9 THE BEAT.  The station kicked off the new format TODAY (9/2) at 9:39a (HT) with a recording of President OBAMA saying, "Are we ready to go? We got the cue. Alright, drop the Beat,” followed by 4,000 commercial-free songs in a row.

iHEARTMEDIA/HONOLULU SVP of Programming JAMIE HYATT said,  “Our goal with the launch of 93.9 THE BEAT is to bring the people of HAWAII a new and exciting hit music station with entertaining personalities, great music and a reflection of everyday life in HONOLULU.  We’ve been asking people all over HAWAII for their help in building a new radio station and this is it.”
