CUMULUS/MONTGOMERY, AL has promoted RICK HENDRICK to OM of the six-station cluster, filling the vacancy created by the departure of WES MCSHAY (NET NEWS 9/6). HENDRICK will oversee Country WLWI, Top 40 WHHY, AC WMXS, News-Talk WLWI-A, and Sports-Talk WMSP-A, while retaining his PD duties for Classic Rock WXFX.
Additionally, CUMULUS/MONTGOMERY, AL has tapped GREG THOMAS as PD for Country WLWI and JOE HUNK as PD/afternoons for Sports-Talk WMSP-A and News-Talk WLWI-A, effective FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th. THOMAS joins WLWI from TOWNSQUARE MEDIA/TUSCALOOSA, AL, where he spent 14 years as OM, and HUNK joins from CUMULUS Sports-Talk WJOX/BIRMINGHAM, AL.
"The passion, energy, and talent of these three programming professionals are undeniable, and together they will create a strong force for programming excellence in MONTGOMERY radio," said CUMULUS/MONTGOMERY, AL VP/Market Mgr. MARVIN KOPMAN. "RICK was a natural choice to lead our cluster operations as OM, with his leadership skills and experience within our cluster and community. Both GREG and JOE are tremendous additions to our programming team, and we welcome them and look forward to their contributions."
