BOB COLE's GENUINE AUSTIN RADIO is turning its LMA of AUSTIN Sports combo KTXX-F/BEE CAVE-AUSTIN and KLGO-A (THE HORN)/ELGIN-AUSTIN into an outright purchase, buying the combo from TOTAL AUSTIN SPORTS RADIO, LLC for $3.2 million. The deal was brokered for the seller by DEFcom ADVISORS, LLC.
In other filings with the FCC, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION is donating Silent KDRI/GRANTS, NM and Contemporary Christian KGGA (AIR 1)/GALLUP, NM to THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE, NM.
RADIO 74 INTERNATIONALE is selling W251CG/AVON PARK, FL to the Board of Trustees of the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA for $52,500. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Sports WRUF-A (ESPN GAINESVILLE 95.3/GAINESVILLE, FL, which presently rebroadcasts on W237EJ.
E-STRING WIRELESS, LTD is selling K241CC/ROCHESTER, MN to SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF IOWA, LLC for $25,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Sports KRNT-A (ESPN DES MOINES)/DES MOINES, IA.
SYLVIA KO is selling W259CM/MINIER, IL to SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF ILLINOIS, LLC for $23,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk WTAX-A/SPRINGFIELD, IL, which presently is heard on W298AP/SPRINGFIELD.

Also, BRYAN FOWLER and MIKE PARCHMAN's M P MEDIA LLC has taken Southern Gospel WVRY/WAVERLY, TN dark while it prepares a format change to a secular format this month. The station has also changed its calls to WVWF. PARCHMAN recently closed on the purchase of the station from CANAAN COMMUNICATIONS INC. for $900,000. A Silent STA has yet to appear in the FCC database.
In a closing yet to appear in the FCC database, SARANAC LAKE RADIO, LLC has closed on the sale of W293BL/SARANAC LAKE, NY to SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF NEW ENGLAND, LLC for $45,000. JASON JAMES of PATRICK COMMUNICATIONS served as exclusive broker for the deal.
