Radio Television Digital News Association Names 10 To Board

Radio TV Digital News Association

Ten journalists have been elected to serve on the board of directors of the RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION (RTDNA). Three are new board members, six were re-elected and one will serve a year as chair-elect of the organization. Two current executive committee members also will advance to new roles.

SCOTT LIBIN from the UNIV. OF MINNESOTA is the new Chair-Elect of RTDNA. LIBIN has previously served as a regional director and chair of RTDNA's Ethics Committee. He will also serve as RTDNA's executive producer of the ASSOCIATION's next national convention, EXCELLENCE IN JOURNALISM 2017 in ANAHEIM, CA. The Chair-Elect becomes Chair of RTDNA in year two and Chair of RTDNF in year three of a three-year cycle on the Executive Committee.

MICHIGAN RADIO's VINCENT DUFFY becomes the 69th Chair of RTDNA, only the second person to serve two terms in the group's highest office. He previously served as a regional director and director at-large.
 
KOA/DENVER News Dir. KATHY WALKER Kathy Walker becomes Chair of the RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS FOUNDATION (RTDNF) for 2016-2017, to complete the three-year leadership cycle on the executive committee.

KSL/SALT LAKE CITY's SHERYL WORSLEY was re-elected to a two-year term as the regional director for REGION 3, including ARIZONA, COLORADO, NEW MEXICO, UTAH and WYOMING.

MEDIA MINEFIELD/MINNEAPOLIS' MARK MILLAGE was elected as the regional director for REGION 4, including MINNESOTA, NORTH DAKOTA, SOUTH DAKOTA and WISCONSIN. He previously served as Chair of RTDNA.

KYTV/SPRINGFIELD, MO's SCOTT BRADY was re-elected as the regional director for REGION 5, including IOWA, KANSAS, MISSOURI and NEBRASKA.

KLST-TV/SAN ANGELO, TX's DAVID WAGNER was elected to a two-year term as the regional director for REGION 6, including OKLAHOMA and TEXAS.

WVLA/WGMB-TV/BATON ROUGE, LA's GARY WORDLAW was elected to a two-year term as the regional director for REGION 9, including ALABAMA, ARKANSAS, LOUISIANA and MISSISSIPPI.

WCVB-TV/BOSTON's ANDREW VREES was re-elected to a two-year term as the regional director for REGION 10, including CONNECTICUT, MAINE, MASSACHUSETTS, NEW HAMPSHIRE, RHODE ISLAND and VERMONT.
 
WLRN/MIAMI, FL's TERENCE SHEPHERD was re-elected as the regional director for REGION 13, including FLORIDA, GEORGIA, PUERTO RICO and the U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS.

WOAI/KABB-TV/SAN ANTONIO's BLAISE LABBE was elected to a two-year term as a director at-large.

E.W. SCRIPPS CO./CINCINNATI's CHIP MAHANEY was elected to a two-year term as a director at-large. He has previously served on the board.
