ENTERCOM Hot AC KUDL (STAR 106.5)/SACRAMENTO is recognizing local listeners for their contributions to the community in a new daily feature called ‘Star of the Day’.

Every week, morning show host GREG TANNER reviews the nominations submitted via the station's website. TANNER calls the advocates along with other friends, family and co-workers to hear why they believe their nominee should be recognized. Once all the calls are made, Tanner calls the lucky ‘Star of the Day’ and plays the audio of comments, compliments and accolades to the deserving listener. To top it off, TANNER personally shows up to present the ‘Star’ with balloons, flowers, complementary dinners, concert tickets and cookies as tokens of appreciation for their dedication to the community.

"Best promotion ever!" said TANNER. "I've never heard so many heartwarming stories from so many good people here in SACRAMENTO. Hearing very personal stories makes you realize there are good people out there, and the world isn't filled with just bad news. A great reminder that good people do exist."

The ‘Star of the Day’ feature airs weekday mornings at 11 PST on air or streamed live at STAR1065.com and on the Tune-In app. Listeners can see photos of all the ‘Star of the Day’ recipients on STAR 106.5's Twitter and Instagram accounts as well as Facebook.
