ENTERCOM Classic Rock KSWD (100.3 THE SOUND)/LOS ANGELES is moving legendary radio personality CYNTHIA FOX to afternoon drive from 2-7 PT. She had been doing weekends for the station and replaces ANDY CHANLEY who moved to mornings.
FOX will be on air among a powerful roster of iconic classic rock radio deejays including UNCLE JOE BENSON and RITA WILDE. The LOS ANGELES native began her career at the age of 18 at the iconic KMET “The Mighty Met” in the 1970’s.
"CYNTHIA is a true icon of classic rock in the LOS ANGELES area, so she belongs on THE SOUND,” said PD DAVID BEASING.
“Having CYNTHIA join legendary DJs UNCLE JOE BENSON and RITA WILDE on THE SOUND is part of our long-term strategy to deliver the kind of exciting FM rock radio that listeners grew up with,” said VP/GM PETER BURTON.
“I am very grateful to be working at THE SOUND,” said FOX. “This is a quality team of talented radio people and I am looking forwarding to sharing what I have learned through music and great teamwork with our listeners.”
In addition to KMET, FOX was an on-air personality at the former KLSX and KLOS. She is a familiar face to viewers of public TV station KCET where she frequently conducts artist interviews and hosts pledge drives.
