ALPHA MEDIA Top 40 WXYK (107.1 THE MONKEY)/GULFPORT-BILOXI Midday goddess VALERIE KATTZ co-emceed the 5th annual “Rock N Rollover” event benefitting the HUMANE SOCIETY OF SOUTH MISSISSIPPI. The event was held FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 24th at THE HARD ROCK CASINO in BILOXI.

KATTZ and PASS CHRISTIAN Mayor CHIPPER MCDERMOTT encouraged over 400 guests to make donations during the event. Within 30 minutes, $31,000 had already been donated.

KATTZ is an animal lover who is always willing to donate her time to help animal friends. Over the past year, she has dedicated a daily "Pet of the Day" feature on her show as well as a daily "Pet of the Day" blog to help shelter animals find homes. She also showcases adoptable dogs on our local TV station WLOX TV 13's "Pet of the Week" segment every other TUESDAY.
