FOREVER MEDIA's FM RADIO LICENSES, LLC is selling Contemporary Christian WPKV (K-LOVE)/DUQUESNE-PITTSBURGH, PA and translators W288BO/PITTSBURGH and W244BR/SPRINGFIELD, OH to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION for $6.7 million under a 2009 option; $500,000 from the option and $200,000 from an option renewal are being applied to the purchase price. EMF has been programming WPKV under the option/LMA since 2009. W244BR will be moved to rebroadcast WOMP-A/BELLAIRE, OH.
Also, the price for the previously-announced purchase by EL DORADO BROADCASTERS LLC (EDB VV LICENSE LLC) of Regional Mexican KURQ (LA M 107.3)/GROVER BEACH-SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA to GOLD COAST RADIO, LLC is $600,000, according to the contract filed with the FCC, with KALIL & CO., INC. was the exclusive broker for the transaction. GOLD COAST took over programming with a simulcast of its KMLA (LA M 103.7)/EL RIO-OXNARD-VENTURA, CA; it previously was programmed with Alternative as NEW ROCK 107.3, flipping to the KMLA simulcast on JULY 1st under an LMA.
In other filings with the FCC, REACH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. is selling W288DD/TAMARAC, FL to EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. for $80,000.
EDGEWATER BROADCASTING, INC. is selling K296GZ/MUSCATINE, IA to LIFTABLE MEDIA, INC. for $35,000.
T.C.W. BROADCASTING, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for W279AM/RUSHVILLE, IN while it builds new facilities.
NATIVE AMERICAN CHRISTIAN VOICE, INC. has closed on the sale of K254CF/WINDOW ROCK, AZ to VIC MICHAEL's MOUNTAIN COMMUNITY TRANSLATORS, LLC for $30,000.
GREAT PLAINS CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. has closed on the sale of K239AX/LARNED, KS to THE PRAISE NETWORK, INC. for $10,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Religion KMMJ-A/GRAND ISLAND, NE.
And GOOD NEWS TRANSLATOR ASSOCIATION has closed on the donation of W202CI/RICHVILLE, NY to MARS HILL BROADCASTING CO., INC.
The Commission also reached a Consent Decree with ROGER L. HOPPE, II that settled allegations that he took KLIM-A/LIMON, CO silent for a fifth period of time without requesting an STA; HOPPE is paying a $1,500 fine (reduced from a proposed $5,000), the license is being renewed, and his sale of the station to CATHOLIC RADIO NETWORK, INC. has been approved.
