ASCAP To Honor Chris Stapleton With Vanguard Award

ASCAP will present MERCURY NASHVILLE artist CHRIS STAPLETON with the "ASCAP Vanguard Award" at the "54TH ANNUAL ASCAP COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS" on MONDAY, OCTOBER 31st at the RYMAN AUDITORIUM in NASHVILLE. The Award recognizes the impact of outstanding ASCAP members on musical genres that will help shape the future of AMERICAN music. 

In the past YEAR, STAPLETON has earned multiple CMA, ACM, and GRAMMY Awards for his "Traveller" album. He is once again nominated for several CMA Awards this YEAR, including Entertainer Of The Year, Single Of The Year, Male Vocalist Of The Year, and more (NET NEWS 8/31). Previous "ASCAP Vanguard Award" winners include WALK THE MOON, ST. VINCENT, FUN., THE CIVIL WARS, THIRD DAY, BAND OF HORSES, SARA BAREILLES, and others.
