HIGH PLAINS PUBLIC RADIO will soon launch a noncommercial News-Talk station via K235AL and KJJP-HD2/AMARILLO, TX.
The schedule for the new "94.9 CONNECT" includes simulcasts of NPR's MORNING EDITION, WEEKEND EDITION, and ALL THINGS CONSIDERED with sister News-Talk-Jazz-Classical-Folk KJJP, plus NPR's ON POINT, HERE AND NOW, and FRESH AIR; UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS noncommercial KUT/AUSTIN's TEXAS STANDARD; PRI's THE WORLD and THE TAKEAWAY; AMERICAN PUBLIC MEDIA's MARKETPLACE; BBC WORLD SERVICE overnights; and several weekly shows in evening and weekend hours.
The announcement of the new service did not specify a sign-on date.
