TRITON DIGITAL released its monthly Ranker for JULY 2016, providing insights into the month’s top streaming audio providers, as well as listening trends for the month of JULY.

Key findings from the JULY 2016 Ranker include:

• All measured clients within the Domestic U.S. reported a total of 4,571,188 Average Active Sessions (AAS) during the MONDAY-FRIDAY 6a-8p daypart, and 3,825,487 AAS during the MONDAY-SUNDAY 6a-Midnight daypart.
• Overall streaming has seen steady growth when compared to JULY 2015. Both Pureplays and AM/FM Broadcasters showed positive growth during the MONDAY-FRIDAY 6a-8p daypart and the MONDAY-SUNDAY 6a-Midnight daypart.
• When compared to JULY 2015, Top 40 showed the largest listening gain with a 33.7% increase in AAS, followed by Urban Contemporary (28.4%), Modern AC (27.5%), News/Talk (24.7%) and Oldies (5.1%).
• In terms of top devices, 41% of listening took place on an iOS device, followed by ANDROID at 31%, GOOGLE CHROME at 8% and FLASH PLAYER at 8%.
