Big surprise out of CURTIS MEDIA GROUP Top 40 WPLW (PULSE 96.9 & 102.5)/RALEIGH, NC as PD MIKE BIDDLE has announced he will exit the position next month.
BIDDLE has spent over 14 of his 20 years in the business at CMG, the last six as PULSE PD. He is leaving to take on a role outside of radio as OM for the locally-based KRASH CREATIVE: LAUNCH MARKETING & ADVERTISING AGENCY.
BIDDLE said, "This is bittersweet for sure. The last 20 years have been amazing! I’m extremely excited for my new opportunity, but will miss my family here at CURTIS I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last 14 1/2 years here at CMG where I’ve worked with so many great people and where I even met my wife. I have to give a big thanks to my mentor, LISA MCKAY, who has been simply amazing. I owe her for so much of my success and I’ll never be able to thank her enough. I’ll miss her drive, passion and unmatchable work ethic."
BIDDLE has held the PULSE PD position since the station signed on in OCTOBER, 2010. His departure leaves a big hole to fill and presents a great opportunity for someone who is ready for the next step in their career. The ideal candidate should be organized, have razor sharp imaging skills, solid on air skills with the ability to make listeners the star in the world of PPM. They must love radio and be enthusiastic about the ability to make a difference in listener’s lives. Applicants must be expressive, polite and responsive face to face, on the phone and in writing to staff, clients and listeners. They must make this job a high priority.
