The part of the EMMIS COMMUNICATIONS CORP.-MIDWEST COMMUNICATIONS-DLC MEDIA/TERRE HAUTE, IN deal that wasn't filed in when the spinoff of EMMIS' stations to MIDWEST and DLC was announced has been disclosed, with the price for MIDWEST's spin of Classic Country WDKE (95.9 DUKE FM)/SEELYVILLE-TERRE HAUTE to DLC being listed in the contract filed with the FCC at $300,000. The prices for the other pieces -- EMMIS selling the assets of Country WTHI-F (HI-99)/TERRE HAUTE and the intellectual property of Classic Rock WWVR (105.5 THE RIVER)/WEST TERRE HAUTE to MIDWEST for $4.3 million, and EMMIS selling the assets of Hot AC WFNB (B92.7) and Sports WFNF-A-W258BA/BRAZIL-TERRE HAUTE, and the facility (but not the intellectual property) of WWVR to DLC MEDIA, INC. for $900,000 -- were disclosed at the time of the original announcement.
In other filings with the FCC, FREDRIC L. and CAROLYN E. JENKINS are transferring 33.3% of HONEY CREEK BROADCASTING, LLC, licensee of KEDB/CHARLTON, IA, to EDWIN L. BRAND. The JENKINS (husband and wife) and BRAND will each own 33.3% of the licensee after closing. HONEY CREEK is also buying KMGO/CENTERVILLE, IA from KMGO, INC. for $142,500 in a 10-year promissory note at $1,309.01 per month.
RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. is selling K227AO/MORRISVILLE, MO to ZIMMER RADIO OF MID-MISSOURI, INC. for $80,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk KWTO-A/SPRINGFIELD, MO.
FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO, INC. is selling W224CZ/MERRILLVILLE, IN to ZAMORA BROADCAST SYSTEMS, INC. for $38,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Regional Mexican WDTW-A (MEGA 1310)/DETROIT. FRIENDS OF CHRISTIAN RADIO is also selling W241BW/LEBANON, IN to DLC MEDIA, INC. for $25,000; DLC plans to move the translator to rebroadcast AC WAKO-A/LAWRENCEVILLE, IL, which presently simulcasts full-power sister FM WAKO-F.
SOUTHEASTERN BROADCASTING COMPANY has closed on the sale of Gospel WKLF-A/CLANTON, AL to GREAT SOUTH RFDC, LLC after the FCC reinstated its license and granted the sale in AUGUST; the sale was initially filed in 2003.
And REACH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of W278BD/MACCLENNY, FL to SPECTRUM DEVELOPMENT GROUP, LLC. for $35,000.
