Katrina Medrano Named MD At KFYV/Oxnard-Ventura CA

GOLD COAST BROADCASTING Top 40 KFYV (LIVE 105.5)/OXNARD-VENTURA, CA today awarded MD stripes to morning host and Promotions Director KATRINA MEDRANO.

In a memo to the staff, PD JAQUAY BANGS said "KATRINA has been with GOLD COAST BROADCASTING for over 10 years and has worked in the on-air and promotions side of things. She will be gaining these new responsibilities for programming because she's ready to grow within the company and she absolutely deserves it. During her tenure here, KATRINA has implemented protocols which have improved efficiency in the promotions department and been recognized as a leader. She took on the LIVE 1055 morning show four years ago and continues to have outstanding ratings.

"KATRINA shows exemplary balance in having a successful morning show, working in the promotions department but yet raising two children," she added. "When she came to me and asked to learn programming I felt no reluctance to pass along my knowledge because I know she will learn it and knock it out the park."
