Punk pioneer and rock icon BILLY IDOL will host a new exclusive, bi-weekly show, BILLY IDOL’s Live Transmission, on SIRIUSXM. IDOL will play his favorite music from the 1980s, sharing his memories of the music he loves and exploring deeper classic punk and alternative tracks.
Among the artists being played are JOY DIVISION, THE CLASH, STOOGES, RAMONES, VELVET UNDERGROUND, THE DAMNED, GENERATION X and more. “1976 was a time of social disruption, aggression, people seeking answers & not getting any" IDOL said. "So we came up with our favorite form of protest music ... punk rock ... snot, sweat, sick sex, fast mad raging music ... which I will be revisiting on my bi-weekly SIRIUSXM show ... and anything related, New Wave & 'early '80s.”
The new show will air on SIRIUSXM’s 1st Wave, channel 33. The first episode of BILLY IDOL’s Live Transmission will air THURSDAY, OCTOBER 20th at 11p ET and will then air bi-weekly, every other TUESDAY, at 8p ET.
