ALPHA MEDIA/MYRTLE BEACH, SC, OM/PD BJ KINARD exits after six years with the cluster -- Alternative WKZQ, new Top 40 WMYB (ENERGY 92.1), Classic Rock WYAV (WAVE 104.1), WRNN-F (HOT TALK 99.5) and WRNN-A (ESPN SPORTS 1450). RON “CRASH” KISSELL has been named PD of WKZQ.
CHRIS “ZACK” O’DONNELL has been promoted to PD of WMYB (ENERGY 92.1).
In a staff memo, GM JOSH GERTZOG noted:
"RON has done a great job as Music Director of KZQ, and is one of the most positive team players in our cluster. RON knows the Alternative Rock format extremely well, and has been involved with bands at major events like FIREFLY, BONNARRO, and more.
"CHRIS has done amazing work with the launch of ENERGY, and will do even more as Program Director of the radio station. Most of you know how talented and committed CHRIS is; many of you may not know that before coming to MYRTLE BEACH, CHRIS had ten years of radio experience including Program Director work, mostly in SOUTHWESTERN PENNSYLVANIA."
