MERCURY NASHVILLE artist LAUREN ALAINA has accepted the "DIABETES DANCE DARE" from the AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION. The initiative hopes to bring awareness to the fact that an AMERICAN is diagnosed with Diabetes every 23 seconds; they also hope to raise funds for the ASSOCIATION.
For the "DIABETES DANCE DARE," participants can record a video of their sweetest dance moves and share via social media using the #DiabetesDanceDare hashtag. Participants then challenge three friends to take the DARE, and those who fail to complete the challenge can instead donate to the AMERICAN DIABETES ASSOCIATION. Check out ALAINA's moves in her FACEBOOK video here. She dedicated the video to LOVE AND THEFT member ERIC GUNDERSON who has Type 1 Diabetes. She also used the duo's current single, "Candyland," as her dance music. ALAINA has nominated the boys from LOVE AND THEFT, UMG NASHVILLE Promotions Assistant SARAH BETH WATSON, and nationally syndicated morning host BOBBY BONES to take the "DIABETES DANCE DARE."
