FCC Reaches Consent Decree In Brian Dodge Case

The FCC has reached a Consent Decree settling the complicated case of BRIAN DODGE, who has admitted to filing several applications as far back as 1982 under pseudonyms and some with fake addresses to conceal his involvement with the applications. The settlement includes a $100,000 fine, cancellation of the license of WCKL-A/CATSKILL, NY and two LPFMs, and dismissal of his petitions for reconsideration of two FM application dismissals, and he will get short-term renewals for his FM translators, grants of the sale of three translators, and a conditional grant of the license for WWNH-A/MADBURY, NH.
The licenses and applications under the names HARVEST BROADCASTING (WWNH), HARVEST BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION (W249AW/LEBANON, NH; W265AM and W261CB/NORWICH-WEST LEBANON, VT; W240AK/LEBANON, NH; W228AU/NORTH BENNINGTON, VT; W228AZ/BERNARDSTON, MA; W257AU/ST. JOHNSBURY, VT; W232AJ/GREENVILLE, NH; W288AN/WEST BRATTLEBORO, VT; W259AB/MARLBORO, VT), FAMILY BROADCASTING AND MEDIA, INC. (WCKL), GRANITE STATE EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, INC. (applications for new noncommercial educational FMs at NEW CASTLE, NH and ROCHESTER, NH), THE LOVE RADIO CHURCH, INC. (WPNI-A/AMHERST, MA, now deleted), HILLTOWN CHRISTMAS STOCKING (WDOE-LP/WESTHAMPTON, MA), and CITIZENS FOR A BETTER HILLTOWNS (new LPFM at WILLIAMSBURG, MA) are being changed to designate BRIAN DODGE d/b/a HARVEST BROADCASTING ASSOCIATION as the licensee, permittee, or applicant.
