Classic-rock icons FOREIGNER has signed a brand representation deal with SONY MUSIC's ARTIST LEGACY GROUP, it was announced today by ALG CEO ASHLEY AUSTIN.
Under the new arrangement, ALG will procure license extension opportunities and collaborations with brands and other entertainment partners to leverage FOREIGNER’s name, logo and lyrics from their biggest hits, which include 16 Top 30 singles and six consecutive BILLBOARD 200 Top 10 albums. The timing of the deal coincides with the band about to commemorate the 40th anniversary of their self-titled debut album in 2017.
FOREIGNER's founder/lead guitarist MICK JONES commented: “We are looking forward to working with the professionals of ARTIST LEGACY GROUP, who I know are going to make a valuable contribution to the development of the FOREIGNER brand.”
Added ALG's AUSTIN: “ALG is privileged to work closely with FOREIGNER to develop and source innovative opportunities for their iconic brand. We will create fresh initiatives across a wide array of licensing and media categories on a global scale, and the 40th anniversary is an opportune time to establish groundbreaking collaborations with licensee partners.”
Said the band's longtime manager PHIL CARSON: “SONY made a very smart decision when they aligned themselves with ARTIST LEGACY GROUP. I know they are going to be very effective for FOREIGNER as we go forward into our 40th anniversary year and beyond.”
