CALVARY CHAPEL CHURCH, INC. has closed on the sale of W242CG/CORAL SPRINGS, FL (now W221DW/TAMPA) and REACH COMMUNICATIONS, INC. has closed on the sale of W280DU/GREENACRES, FL (now in BOCA RATON) to BEASLEY MEDIA GROUP, LLC for $125,000. The translators are moving to rebroadcast Business WHFS-A/SEFFNER-TAMPA and Business WSBR-A (MONEYTALK RADIO)/BOCA RATON, respectively. In a separate deal, REACH has closed on the sale of W237BD/POMPANO BEACH, FL to BEASLEY for $125,000; that translator will rebroadcast Brokered Talk WWNN-A (WNN, THE HEALTH AND WEALTH NETWORK)/POMPANO BEACH,
In other closings at the FCC, PATAPHYSICAL BROADCASTING FOUNDATION, INC., which took noncommercial KUSP/SANTA CRUZ and translators K237EV/BIG SUR VALLEY, CA, K217EK/PALO COLORADO CANYON, CA, K207CN/SANTA CRUZ, CA, and K206BQ/HOLLISTER, CA silent, has closed on the transfer of the licenses to Chapter 7 trustee JOHN W. RICHARDSON. The licensee filed for bankruptcy on AUGUST 12th and the receiver is in the process of selling the stations to EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION.
CALVARY ALBUQUERQUE, INC. has closed on the sale of K232FC/SAN JOSE, TX to RF SERVICES, INC. for $50,000.
CONNER MEDIA CORPORATION has closed on the sale of W277DD/MYRTLE BEACH, SC to 2B PRODUCTIONS, LLC for $75,000. The buyer plans to move the translator to rebroadcast Adult Standards WSAT-A/SALISBURY, NC.
COMMUNITY MEDIA ASSISTANCE PROJECT has closed on the sale of K262CE/DEER PARK, WA (now K243CK/PENDLETON, OR) to ROUND-UP RADIO, INC. for $20,000. The buyer is moving the translator to rebroadcast News-Talk KUMA-A/PENDLETON, OR.
In CANADA, the CRTC has issued a call for comments on whether to open a call for applications for new radio stations in BRAMPTON, ON, ST. JOHN'S, NL, and OTTAWA-GATINEAU. The deadline for interventions is DECEMBER 5th and replies are due DECEMBER 15th. In BRAMPTON, the CRTC has received two applications for Ethnic stations on 1190 AM, one from PRIYA DATTA for 1,500 watts days and 68 watts nights, and one from ANTOINE KARAM for 10,000 watts full-time. In ST. JOHN'S, the agency received a single application from ANDREW GREEN and JORDAN ELLIOTT for a new commercial station on 98.3 FM with 51,000 watts ERP. In OTTAWA, KARAM applied for an Ethnic station at 1630 AM with 10,000 watts days and 1,000 watts at night.
