KDND/Sacramento Morning Host Announces 5K Walk/Run In Memory Of Daughter

ENTERCOM Top 40 KDND (107.9 THE END)/SACRAMENTO morning host GAVIN FERGUSON, along with co-hosts JASON BARSKY, KATIE BEERS and ‘Intern’ KEVIN NGUYEN will host a memorial 5K Walk/Run NOVEMBER 19th at OLYMPUS POINTE SCULPTURE PARK. The event is named 'Phoebe’s Flight' to honor FERGUSON’s daughter, PHOEBE LAINE, who was stillborn in AUGUST 2015. The event will celebrate her memory by raising money for Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation’s Pastoral Services Fund, which is used for a variety of programs honoring the memory of children that have passed away, including a remembrance garden, support groups, and other resources for grieving families.

"Stillborn births happen far more often than people think," said FERGUSON. "When it happened to us, we found ourselves lost. We couldn’t imagine that anybody else had ever felt this level of pain before."

The day’s events will begin at 6:30a with check-in and registration, followed by a Kids Fun Run at 8:00a and the featured 5K shortly after. Registration fees are $10 for the Kids Fun Run and $25 for the Adult 5K (price includes a complimentary shirt).
