ALL ACCESS congratulates BLUE CHAIR/COLUMBIA artist KENNY CHESNEY and his entire team, plus COLUMBIA NASHVILLE, on a #1 debut on the Country albums chart with “Cosmic Hallelujah.” In its first week of sales, the album moved 79,000 copies according to NIELSEN MUSIC, giving CHESNEY his 14th career #1 Country album debut. That puts him in elite company, as he joins GARTH BROOKS and ALAN JACKSON with as many #1 album debuts. If you’re keeping score at home, TIM MCGRAW has done it 15 times; MERLE HAGGARD and WILLIE NELSON notched 16 album chart-toppers each; and the all-time leader, GEORGE STRAIT, has 26 #1 Country album debuts.

Additionally, “Cosmic Hallelujah” topped the all-genre album charts, the eighth such accomplishment for CHESNEY.
