WVAZ (V103)/Chicago Names Successors For Herb Kent’s Weekend Shows

iHEARTMEDIA Urban AC WVAZ (V103)/CHICAGO has tapped long time colleagues TROI TYLER and RAMONSKI LUV to take over the WEEKEND programs formerly hosted by HERB KENT ‘THE COOL GENT’ who recently passed away.  (NET NEWS 10/24)

TYLER, who had been KENT’s primary fill-in, will host “THE SATURDAY MORNING WAKE-UP CLUB” from 8-noon (CT).  RAMONSKI LUV will host 'HERB’S PLACE' from noon-7p (CT) on SUNDAY’s.

According to ROBERTFEDER.com, Dir./Urban Programming DERRICK BROWN said in a staff memo, “Both TROI TYLER and RAMONSKI LUV are perfectly suited to carry on HERB’s legacy.”

TYLER, a former midday personality for V103, currently is the Station Manager of CHICAGO STATE UNIVERSITY’s Student Station WCSU; streamed on iHEARTMEDIA’s Internet radio platform.

LUV recently returned to V103 after a stint at CRAWFORD BROADCASTING URBAN AC WSRB (SOUL 106.3)/CHICAGO.  His 30-year WINDY CITY resume includes formerly co-hosting THE REAL SHOW" at V103 with JOE SOTO for 10-years.
