SCRIPPS News-Talk WTMJ-A/MILWAUKEE is looking for a new midday show as CHARLIE SYKES' retirement and the resultant move of JEFF WAGNER to SYKES' slot leaves the noon-3p (CT) show wide open.
The heritage talk station, which emphasizes local talk and service, says that it is looking for "the next generation of fearless, foreground talk leaders to be multi-platform stars." Its audience, the station says, "expects to hear smart, knowledgeable, entertaining LOCAL hosts," so the ideal candidates will be "people who are adventurous in spirit, engaged and interested in LOCAL issues - along with national and world events."
Interested candidates can apply at scripps.com and send materials to Dir./Programming & News ERIC BROOKS at Eric.Brooks@WTMJ.com. SCRIPPS is an EEO.
