November PPM Analysis: Country Down Year-to-Year Again

NIELSEN’s format scorecard for the NOVEMBER PPM results still being delivered shows Country down among persons 6+, 18-34, and 25-54 year-to-year when compared to NOVEMBER 2015, continuing a trend for 2016. Country ranked #4 in overall AQH share during NOVEMBER with persons 6+, posting a 7.3, dipping from OCTOBER’s 7.4. The format trails News/Talk, Top 40, and AC in that demo. But Country did rise with 18-34 listeners in NOVEMBER, gaining 8.3-8.7 compared to OCTOBER, while holding its #2 rank behind Top 40. Among 25-54s, Country dipped slightly from OCTOBER (7.2-7.1) and is now tied with AC for a #3 AQH share ranking, behind Top 40 and News/Talk.

NIELSEN released its analysis of NOVEMBER PPMs slightly ahead of all market results being delivered, due to the THANKSGIVING holiday weekend. Day three PPMs are due TODAY (11/23), with day four set for MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28th. See NIELSEN’s NOVEMBER PPM analysis here.
