RTDNA/F Exec. Dir. Mike Cavender To Retire In 2017

RADIO TELEVISION DIGITAL NEWS ASSOCIATION AND FOUNDATION (RTDNA/F) Exec. Dir. MIKE CAVENDER will retire at the end of 2017, the organization announced TODAY (11/30). A search committee has been appointed by the RTDNA/F board to find a successor; CAVENDER, who was named Exec. Dir. in 2011 after 20 years in various board capacities with the organizations, will serve through next SEPTEMBER's Excellence in Journalism conference.
"I'm proud to be a part of these and so many other efforts that are at the very core of the RTDNA/F mission," said CAVENDER. "Our work in WASHINGTON and around the country plays a significant role in bringing clarity and progress to the major issues facing our industry.
"For 70 years, RTDNA has been an unwavering advocate for our industry and I look forward to continuing to be part of those important efforts, especially with the advent of a new political administration."
