CUMULUS Triple A WQKL (ann arbor's 107one)/ANN ARBOR raised over 1 million meals for the needy during the holiday season in its annual food drive, well past the original goal of 800,000 meals and passing the million mark for the second straight year. The 28th annual "Rockin' for the Hungry" food drive, with the FOOD GATHERERS food bank and KROGER as partners, lasted six days (NOVEMBER 29-DECEMBER 4) and collected donations at area KROGER stores, starting with a special #GivingTuesday broadcast from the ARBORLAND KROGER with MARTIN BANDYKE.
“I am thrilled that for the second consecutive year we raised food and funds for more than one million meals,” said FOOD GATHERERS President/CEO EILEEN SPRING. “We are grateful for ann arbor’s 107one, KROGER, and our many sponsors for leading this effort. We are also thankful for everyone who gave to the campaign and helped us meet our goal.”
