FCC Opens Comments On Proposal To Allow Use Of Only Internet Sources For Broadcaster EEO Requirements

The FCC's Media Bureau has opened a comment period for a Petition for Rulemaking seeking to allow broadcasters to use only internet sources and on-air announcements as sources for job applicants to satisfy FCC EEO recruitment requirements.  The Petition was filed by SUN VALLEY RADIO INC. and CANYON MEDIA CORP.

Comments on the proposal are due JANUARY 30th, with replies due FEBRUARY 14th.  The proceeding is MB Docket No. 16-410.
